Real estate recycling eliminates longstanding legacy concerns and breathes new life into former industrial sites to spur job growth and economic prosperity. DEDA has the expertise to help your project get "cleaned up" and shovel ready.

With limited green space for new development, DEDA and the City of Duluth have been able to leverage significant private sector investments through supporting redevelopment of contaminated brownfield sites.

Over the past ten years, Duluth has attained financial support of over $2 million in targeted clean up grants from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency and over $10 million from the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development for projects such as Pier B Resort currently under development and  popular Clyde Iron Works Restaurant and Event Center.
